Family Health/La Clinica is a federally qualified health center that provides medical, dental, and other services to residents of Waushara and surrounding counties. Historically a migrant health center, Family Health/La Clinica's mission and funding broadened in the 1990s to provide access to everyone, and the majority of patients are now year-round Waushara County residents. Family Health/La Clinica is a participating provider with all health insurance plans as well as Medicare, Medicaid, and BadgerCare. The center also offers an "Affordable Care Program" that provides sliding fee discounts based on family size and income. This federal and state-funded discount program assures access to care by reducing a person's out-of-pocket payment, whether the person is insured or not, and covers both medical and dental services. Medical appointments are available on a same day or next day basis.

Past Jobs & Experience
Zella Van Natta graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point in 1996 with a BA in health education and she performed her internship at Family Health/La Clínica in the Promotora Program. After she completed the required 400 hours, she was retained to assist the clinic social worker in a domestic violence prevention program that was specific to the Latino population. In 2000, she became outreach coordinator in Family Health/La Clinica's summer program to provide on-site primary health services to migrant workers in camps in nine counties, a position she continues to hold alongside being a WIPHL health educator. Other primary duties include being a team member of the state Diabetes Quality Improvement Program (DQIP) and the National Collaborative for Healthcare Disparities.
