The Wisconsin Medical Society's Penny Osmon presents a series of webinars intended to get medical settings off and running with SBIRT billing and reimbursement.
Getting Started
In this two-part series Penny Osmon will get you started billing for SBIRT services and, more importantly, share pointers to assist in securing reimbursement. The series will begin with a general overview of the CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-9 codes available for reporting SBIRT services. Utilizing these codes, the billing caveats for federal and commercial payers will be discussed in detail. Topics will include: type of service providers, site of service, documentation requirements, average reimbursement, and more.

Incident-to Services
A key provision for billing SBIRT services is the supervision requirement necessary for the health educator. During this in-depth session, we will cover the Medicare "Incident-to" policy and supervision requirements for commercial payers. Discussion will also include options for getting SBIRT services into your commercial contracts. Attendees will have an understanding of what level of supervision is required based on where the service is provided and the payer.
Compliance
Coding and compliance are "hot topics" across health care, and SBIRT is not exempt. During this teleconference, Penny Osmon will share commonly asked compliance questions related to coding, billing, and documentation. Topics will include waiving co-pays, cash discounts, multiple fee schedules, and more!
